The road to hell is paved with data that support your worldview.

The priest in this article is barely a year out of the Our Lady of Guadalupe Seminary. I've been lucky to meet a number of its seminarians over the past two years, and I have no trouble imagining any of them doing the same thing. Pray for these men! 🙏

I searched my photos for the keyword "Sunday," and this was the first to appear. I guess I don't take many photos on Sundays. Mercado del Puerto, Montevideo, Uruguay. October 2017. 🇺🇾

That's how I feel about it.

We can't defeat whining little bitches by becoming whining little bitches!

I know it's already Saturday in some parts of the world, but if I could just make it through my Friday lunch without every other post being a cat, that'd be swell.

Indoors, alone, sitting at my computer, and Google Maps has the balls to tell me to wear a mask.

Question: Why would any Twitter employee need a tool that creates tweets on someone else's timeline?

An old quote I used to hear a lot from network guys: "Never underestimate the bandwidth of a station wagon full of tapes hurtling down the highway." I hadn't thought about it in years until I was in Mexico City this past winter. One of my housemates was a filmmaker who was trying to use our seriously crappy wi-fi to send a 20-Gb video file to his collaborators back in the U.S. After several failed attempts, he asked me if I had any ideas. I suggested a thumb drive and DHL.

The 2019 U.S. individual income tax filing season was a procrastinator's dream. We all got an extension of three months without even asking for it. Thanks, COVID-19! I hope it doesn't catch anyone off-guard to find out the extended deadline is today. Relax, you still have a few hours to request an extension. This year, I'm proud to say I beat the tax filing deadline by a whopping 34 hours.

This morning, after serving on the altar:

Priest: "Michaéli" has four syllables. Mi-cha-é-li.
Me: How did I say it?
Priest: I don't know.
Me: Did it sound like Mi-chaé-li?
Priest: I don't know.
Me: Thanks, I'll work on it.

I know we can't be absolutely sure, but from everything I've read, people who are already dead have a very low risk of contracting COVID-19.
